Mike McCraw, Managing Director of Founders Consumer Practice, is an experienced entrepreneur and investment banker and has almost 30 years’ experience serving clients in mergers & acquisitions, advising services, and business consulting. Mike focuses on the consumer services industry, having previously served as CFO for Another Broken Egg of America, a construction services business, and as an advisor to various other multi-unit companies. Mike is passionate about aligning his client’s business pursuits and ambitions with their personal life goals. He likes to start every new client engagement listening first then serving toward the client’s desired goals. Additionally, Mike helped launch the annual Multi-Unit Summit in 2019 to provide a forum for collaboration. This Summit, or elite retreat, brings together the best and brightest minds in a relaxed casual environment.

Prior to joining Founders, Mike started and led the Outsourced Services Practice Group at Warren Averett, one of the largest CPA firms in the Southeast. Before Warren Averett, Mike served as managing principal of the Birmingham office of a regional CPA and consulting firm he co-founded. At both places, Mike helped clients navigate through the challenges of managing and sustaining growth while increasing enterprise value.

Mike is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Mike received his undergraduate degree in accounting from Troy University, where he was quarterback on a National Championship team. His securities credentials include Series 79 and 63 securities licenses.

Outside the office, Mike has a passion for investing in the lives of others. He is past Treasurer of Shades Mountain Park and the Alabama Chapter of Arthritis Foundation, and past Chair of the Finance Committee for Hunter Street Baptist Church, along with being an active supporter of Hattie’s House, which provides short term housing for children’s families seeking medical care. Mike has two children, Erin and Slade, as well as a golden retriever named Molly.
