Principals of Founders Advise Atchafalaya Measurement on Management Buyout

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (January 7, 2014) – The principals of Founders Investment Banking, LLC are pleased to announce the management buyout of Atchafalaya Measurement Inc. (AMI), a full service gas and liquid measurement company, with an equity investment from KLH Capital. AMI’s management gained a meaningful equity stake at closing and was exclusively advised by principals of Founders Investment Banking. The transaction closed on December 20, 2013 and was led by Duane P. Donner II and Joe H. Brady III of Founders’ Oil & Gas Services Practice.

Atchafalaya Measurement, based in Scott, LA, is a multi-basin oil & gas services company providing customized measurement systems to onshore and offshore production operations in many of the fastest growing drilling regions in the United States. AMI has exhibited substantial growth, as its management team has strategically targeted high-growth regions of drilling activity and developed a reputation as a premier service provider in its industry. The transaction provides the management team with a value-added partnership committed to continued expansion and growth within the oil & gas services sector.

“We are excited about our partnership with KLH Capital in the continued development and growth at AMI,” said Nick Trahan, general manager of Atchafalaya Measurement. “The Founders team did a great job finding the right partner and advising us through the process,” adds Shane Daigle, operations manager of Atchafalaya Measurement.

“At KLH, this is exactly the sort of investment we look for, a scalable services business in a strong segment of the industry. We are really pleased to be part of this exciting opportunity,” said James Darnell of KLH Capital.

“The Founders Oil & Gas team is pleased to have helped the management team execute the buyout and bring together this partnership. We look forward to seeing the future success of AMI. Nick and Shane are ambitious oilfield entrepreneurs and this transaction provides them with the resources and the opportunity to meaningfully participate in AMI’s rapid growth,” said Duane Donner, managing director at Founders Investment Banking.
