BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Founders Investment Banking, LLC today announced that John W. Sullivan has joined its firm as Vice President. In this role, John will be responsible for assisting the group with market process management and coordination of the analyst team. This addition demonstrates Founders’ commitment to serve clients with a team of talented professionals.

John brings nearly fifteen years of experience in corporate finance to Founders. He began his corporate finance career in equity research at Bank of America in New York, covering the paper and packaging industry. He then spent ten years on the buy-side in various roles at private equity and debt firms, sourcing, evaluating and executing transactions in the middle market, most recently at GE Capital.

Most recently, John served as a Vice President in the Middle Market Private Equity Group of GE Capital. There, he led and directed an investment team of associates and analysts, evaluating potential investments and recommending strategies to management teams. Prior to this role, he held investment-oriented roles at Patriarch Partners, a multibillion-dollar middle market private equity firm, and The Gladstone Companies, a middle market debt and equity investment company.

John graduated from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia with a B.S. in Business Administration with Special Attainments in Commerce, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. John is originally from Mobile, AL, and he and his wife, Anna, a Jackson, MS native, recently moved to Alabama from New York.
