Dallas–Fort Worth Transaction Activity Q2 2018

According to Capital IQ and Founders’ proprietary sources, M&A and private placement activity in the second quarter of 2018 decreased 9% versus the same quarter in the previous year. Transaction activity in the Dallas-Fort Worth market represents a diversified mix of industries, with Industrials, Information Technology, Financials, and Healthcare representing the top sectors by volume. Overall, there were an estimated 99 transactions involving companies from the Dallas-Fort Worth area completed in the second quarter of 2018. Most of the transactions were sub $50 million in enterprise value; two of the largest transactions were in the Energy and Industrials sectors, including the Brazos Midstream Holdings, LLC sale to Morgan Stanley Infrastructure, Inc. for $1.7 billion and the sale of MORSCO, Inc. to Reese Limited (ASX:REH) for $1.4 billion.
