Founders Donates Laptops to Sunzu Village Community School & Library in Rwanda
At Founders Advisors, our core values are not mere words on paper; they are guiding principles that drive our actions and decisions. One of our stated values is “Service: Go the extra mile for our clients, co-workers, and community.” Recently, we were able to put this value into action by donating eight laptops to the Sunzu Village Community School and Library. A seemingly small act of generosity on our part held immeasurable significance for the students in Rwanda.
Sunzu Village Community is a small Rwandan Village of approximately 3,500 people perched on the ridgeline of the hills dividing several lakes. The village has only limited electricity, no running water or sewage, and most homes are constructed of mud bricks. While Sunzu Village does have a community school, it is laden with substandard infrastructure, understaffed teachers, and a lack of access to learning materials. Recognizing this need, Founders was able to step in and not only provide laptops to their students, but also ensure that they have access to the tools they need to succeed.
