Founders recently sponsored the 2024 Fellowship of Companies for Christ International (FCCI) Conference, a gathering of like-minded business owners and CEO’s who gather together to fellowship, learn, grow and be encouraged in the area of faith-based stewardship of their companies.

The annual event brings together business owners, CEOs, and entrepreneurs who are committed to leading their businesses based on Christian principles. The 2024 conference, themed “Advancing God’s Kingdom through Business” was a dynamic platform for leaders seeking spiritual growth and practical strategies to create a lasting impact in the marketplace.

In the fall of 2021, our Founder, Duane Donner, accepted an invitation from a friend to attend his first FCCI conference in Beaver Creek, CO. It was there that he heard Jimmy Blanchard, retired CEO of Synovus Bank, share about the great work God did in him over 30 years earlier, and how it compelled him to embrace Servant Leadership as the leadership model at Synovus. This led to the company experiencing unprecedented growth and success. God used Jimmy’s talk to convict Duane in this area, which led him to begin a Servant Leadership initiative at Founders that has deeply impacted Founder’s culture. Duane’s experience at FCCI in 2021 led to our firm adopting Servant Leadership as our purpose: “Be Servant Leaders who value relationships and results.” The core of Servant Leadership is to clearly communicate vision, align the goals of the firm with goals of team members through shared fate, empower team members, and lead with humility and a focus on serving others. This style of leadership was modeled by the ultimate Servant Leader: Jesus.

Duane joined the FCCI Board in 2022 and is actively working with the board and staff to grow the fellowship.  The vision of FCCI is “Transforming the world through Christ one company leader at a time”.  FCCI exists to equip and encourage Christian business leaders to operate their businesses and conduct their personal lives in accordance with Biblical principles.
