Thomas Dixon is a leader in the Founders Advisors Healthcare Group and heads up Founders’ presence in Nashville.  He has spent almost 20 years in healthcare strategy and corporate development/M&A.

While at Founders, Thomas has advised business owners within multiple healthcare sectors, including physician/provider services, technology and pharma services.

Thomas brings a diverse experience base to the Firm, which includes having served as a development officer at four distinct, PE-backed healthcare platforms and as a Principal at one of the nation’s largest healthcare consultancies.  Immediately prior to Founders, Thomas was a development officer at Solis Mammography, the nation’s largest women’s imaging provider.  During his tenure at Solis, he spearheaded the company’s acquisitive expansions into the Carolinas, Louisiana and San Antonio and led the formation of Solis Physician Group.  In addition to women’s imaging, Thomas has corporate development experience in cosmetics/aesthetics, anesthesia and ambulatory surgery, all of which allows him to help his sell-side clients better understand and navigate the buyer/investor community.

Before entering corporate development, Thomas practiced strategy consulting at two prominent healthcare firms.  His practice largely focused on M&A and other growth-oriented partnerships (e.g., joint ventures, joint operating agreements) among leading health system clients.  While in consulting, Dixon also led engagements for health plans, institutional investors and ancillary providers, affording him an ability to view and understand the US healthcare ecosystem from multiple vantage points.

Thomas holds an MBA in finance from the University of Minnesota and a BBA in marketing from the University of Oklahoma.  He resides in metro Nashville with his wife, Margaret, and their two boys.  Thomas and Margaret enjoy volunteering, cheering on the boys at band/sports and accessing Nashville’s unparalleled music and food scenes.
